Monarch Butterfly

A monarch butterfly (danaus plexippus) in flight is drawn to the nectar a flowering rosemary bush (rosmarinus officinalis). Eastern/northeastern populations migrate both north and south annually, journeying between southern Canada and the United states to overwintering sites in central Mexico.
